5 out of 5 stars Free of bumps!   February 7, 2010
K. Taylor (CA)
I bought this product now so I would have it this summer, instead of procrastinating and deal with ugly, embarassing bumps, as typical for me each summer. I was going to wait until then to use it, but when I received a request to review this product, I thought "what the heck." I've never been able to shave my bikini area more than once a week because the day after I ALWAYS have ugly, red bumps. I shaved my bikini area two days in a row and used Tend Skin afterwards both times. No razor bumps or ingrown hairs! So now when I do my weekly shaving for that area, I use Tend Skin. I look forward to bikini season now with no more dread of covering up with swim shorts the day after!

5 out of 5 stars The only thing that works for my razor bumps.   January 17, 2010

I've been using this for a couple years and have finally been able to stop looking for the next thing to try for my razor bumps. You have to use it regularly, not just as a treatment when bumps show up, and it may take a few weeks for it to be fully effective, but it's worth being patient and consistent if razor bumps are a problem.

5 out of 5 stars Couldn't live without it   December 7, 2009
r (Seattle, WA)
I've had a very coarse beard but relatively sensitive skin since I was fourteen or so.

I discovered this back in high school while reading a Men's Health mag. I've used it ever since, and it is the *only* thing that has ever made my skin look normal after shaving.

After I shave, if I don't use this, I get red bumps all over my neck. Once, when I went on vacation in Europe, I forgot to bring this, and within a few days I had pizza neck.

I've tried every mainstream, brand name aftershave/skin care product, and nothing has ever come close to this.

As for those who said this was smelly, they are simply incorrect. There is a small alcohol smell when you first apply it (I usually hold my breath), but after 20 seconds or so, this goes away completely.

Hopefully, this stuff is safe, because if I ever have to stop using it I'm gonna just have to grow a massive mountain man beard.

5 out of 5 stars You must buy from an Authorized Distributor. Lot's of fakes out there!   November 20, 2009

This product is garuanteed by the manufacturer. If you feel it didn't work properly you should be able to return it within 30 days.

3 out of 5 stars Seems to work alright, but very alcoholic   November 10, 2009
O. Greene (San Francisco, CA)
I don't actually use this stuff, I bought it for my girlfriend, so keep that in mind with my review. I have discussed the product and her experience with it, of course.

The product seems to work ok to help reduce ingrown hairs, although it definitely doesn't eliminate them. It seems like you need pretty regular and consistent use to get the best of it. Unfortunately a majority of its composition seems to be alcohol, and the smell and drying nature of this discourages such regular use - at least for some people (I certainly wouldn't want to put it on my face). So it's far from perfect.

It would be much better to have a more soothing product. We haven't tried any others out there yet (e.g. Princereigns Ingrown Hair Gel or MiN New York Solution2 Razor Bump Rollerball Treatment), but I know there are many that don't rely on alcohol for some of their effect. Her salon gal has also recommended other, less astringent stuff. She'll probably switch to something else as soon as this is gone (or sooner).
