Worth it's weight in gold!!March 4, 2010 Nicole Hoffman I just bought this about a week ago after reading the reviews and I am in LOVE. My skin is naturally very oily and my eyelids are no exception to that. They're greasy and creasy within an hour of applying my makeup to the point where the shadow seems to melt off the center of my lids. I bought the primer potion with a bit of skepticism, hoping it would work but assuming it wouldn't. Oh my gosh y'all- it did! I swipe it on, blend it in with my finger tip and voila! I apply my eyeshadow over it, and I come home from work 10 hours later with my eyes looking just as good as when I left. It also makes the colors POP more on my eyes, keeps my eyeliner from smudging down into the dreaded raccoon, and works almost like a concealer to make your eyelids look bright, even and smooth when you wear it alone without eyeshadow over top. I want to buy this stuff in BULK. L.O.V.E. <3
Use this only if you hate your eyelidsFebruary 19, 2010 T. Gaddy 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Painful painful painful! I bought this product after all of the hype and the strong recommendation from the sales associate at Ulta. Before buying this I used a cream concealer, and that's what I should have kept doing.
The first day I didn't really notice anything better about using this over my concealer, and the wand is awkward and messy to use. By the end of the day I noticed that my right eye was a just a little irritated in the crease, but I assumed that it was unrelated.
The second day I decided to forgo the wand and used my fingertip for better application control. I still didn't think that it made my shadow look more prominent nor did it last any longer than using regular concealer. I actually didn't think that there was much of a difference at all until the end of the day. Both of my eyelids were severely irritated and burned. Washing my face was a nightmare as any face wash or even gentle soap burned like the dickens.
This morning (day 3) I woke up to a rash and peeling skin on both lids and the burning was still prevalent so I decided not to wear any makeup at all. It's now 11PM, my eyelids have been on fire all day and NOTHING soothes them, not even cocoa butter or pure aloe. If this isn't any better in the morning, I'm going to have to see a doctor. DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT. Besides the fact that it has a malicious effect on my lids, it doesn't actual do anything that a cream concealer can't do and it was a waste of $18.
Makes your eye lids look old and creased!February 17, 2010 calc chick(USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I had high hopes for this product when all my twenty-something friends raved about this product. However, i wasn't so impressed.
Before i left in the morning, i put it only on one eyelid and just put foundation on the other like i normally do. When i got home late that night, i was horrified at how wrinkled the eyelid with the primer was on! I didn't noticed any particular staying power but the wrinkles were what freaked me out and i don't even HAVE wrinkles in the first place!!
i think its just too drying.
btw; i'm only 39! so i'm not even old!
Too cakeyFebruary 14, 2010 Jenn(Montana) I tried this product because of all the hype but I don't like it. It leaves little dry patches on my eyelids which are difficult to cover up with eyeshadow. The eyeshadow does stay in place thanks to the primer potion - but I can't make any mistakes while applying the eyeshadow because it becomes permanent right away! I rarely use it now.
Best one out thereFebruary 12, 2010 K. Askine(Md) I work at Ulta and we have literally tried all of the eye shadow primers we sell, and this one is the best. This is the only one i recommend. Make sure you apply it everywhere the shadow is going and also to wait for it to dry before you apply your shadow. If you do put too much one, it will take a long time to dry, so be careful with that.
