Only complaint is the guards they come with have very sharp points! Its easy to poke someone with them, causing a painful scrape.
Just what I wantedJuly 28, 2010 Another Amazon Customer (TM)(California, USA) BACKGROUND: My standard haircut is a "0" (zero) everywhere. I owned an inexpensive clipper that was very noisy and didn't cut well. The clipper became so unpleasant to use that 1) I couldn't recruit family members to cut my hair so 2) I was spending $15 for cuts at the local barber.
RESEARCH: I used the ratings and reviews on Amazon for research. I chose this Oster clipper because it had consistently good reviews and a reasonable price. I checked other Internet retail sites and Amazon's price (purchase plus shipping) was the lowest.
RESULTS: Quiet hum. Cut extremely well (relative to my limited and negative experiences). In four weeks, recouped $30 by not going to the barber. My wife hated the old clippers but now actually seems to enjoy using the Oster clipper. I'm a happy and satisfied Oster and Amazon customer.
So Far So GoodJuly 24, 2010 T. VanOstrand I didn't need a ton of attachments so I decided to spend a little more on the cutter itself. It cuts well and it's nice to have a small height adjustment built into the blade. The one point (and it's a big one) is that I can't yet comment on is how long the blades will keep their edge. It does come with a tube of mineral oil to use on the blades to keep them from rusting.
Great clippersJuly 24, 2010 Jin H Chang So far so good. I've been using clippers sold from walmart before purchasing this one. Just to give you an idea the ones i bought from Walmart are the ones sold for about $30. This Oster cuts clean and smooth and that's what I like most about it. I like to do fades and the clippers I bought from Walmart would leave missed strands of hair. This pair does not. Overall I am satisfied with my decision in this brand and model. I have only had this for 2 months so I am hoping it will last awhile.
Oster Fast Feed Clipper is okay.July 17, 2010 Debra(Chicago) I purchased this clipper for my husband. He said it does not cut as close as other clippers he's used. It's decent, but not great!
