FIRST OF ALL IT HAS SO MUCH GLITTER. ITS A GREAT PRODUCT. I ONLY HAVE ON PROBLEM SINCE IT IS KNEW WHEN I CLOSED IT THE PRODUCT SPILLED OUT I THINK URBAN DECAY SHOULD DO SOMETHING ABOUT THAT. This stuff lives up to the hype!July 26, 2010 A. Harford(Connecticut, USA) I have oily lids and before I started using eyeshadow primer, after a couple of hours my makeup would disappear into my crease. By the end of the night it would look like I had no eye makeup on at all.
That said, UDPP is great. I know it is a very popular product, and I have to say that it definitely lives up to the hype! I would definitely recommend UDPP - I have not had any problems with creasing or my makeup "disappearing." In my opinion, UDPP and Too Faced Shadow Insurace are equivalent. I use them interchangeably and have not found that one is better than the other.
The only thing negative thing I will mention about UDPP (that I have heard from others) is that once you have used the majority of the product, the packaging can lead to some distress when it comes to getting the remaining product out. In response to this, Urban Decay has changed the shape of the wand (currently bent, rather than straight). I don't know whether this has solved the problem...I imagine that it would help, but again, I haven't reached the end of my bottle, so I haven't encountered this situation yet. Just something to keep in mind. I'm sure other reviews have touched up on this, and may be able to offer better insight.
I have finally found "THE" eyeshadow primer!July 13, 2010 Alba I have been looking for a true eyeshadow primer, for what seems like forever. A huge cosmetic store recently opened up at the mall. That's where I found the Urban Decay Eye Shadow primer. I have combination skin type, and by noon, my eyeshadow would normally have already creased. I got used to doing the same old routine, with blending it in to appear un-creased. Then by 5pm, the same thing. And although I was skeptical with this product at first, I did try it. I usually "paint the face on" around 6:00am. At around noon, I did my normal routine in the ladies room, only to find that there was not a crease to be found on my eyelids. Again at 5pm, I checked myself out in the mirror...the eyemakeup looked flawless!! This is IT!!! Whether you go with a natural look, or a fully made up look, or use dark eyeshadow colors, this primer will hold the eye make-up in place; cream eyeshadow, powder, frosty, or liquid. It really is awesome.
One thing about this product that I had to learn by trial and error, was that once it dries out on the lid it is difficult to smooth out. So do this: as soon as you put it on your lids, quickly and lightly tap on it and smooth it out evenly. Then proceed applying your favorite eyeshadow. Delighted!July 9, 2010 Hellen Keller(Long Beach, Ca) I am so happy with this product! It saves me time and money! My eyeshadow no longer fades through out the day so I don't have to carry my eyeshadow for touch ups. I can also apply less eyeshadow and get better results than before when I used to apply and apply and apply before I got the color intensity I wanted. The colors of all my shadows are more true and intense which is amazing. I also use a small amount on the lower lash line and it keeps my pencil eyeliner from running. This is a great product and well worth the money :D
Just want I neededJune 25, 2010 dee I love this primer. I have oily skin so my eyeshadow would fade and crease. When I tried this primer it was like the best the beauty buy I ever purchased. The primer goes on smoothly and lightly. Your shadow will last all day without fading or creasing. The color of your eyeshadow will be enhanced as well. Great product!
