terrible shaverJune 15, 2010 Sara Lafountain(Maryland) I bought this shaver 6 months ago. My son uses it once or twice a week. He takes care of it and cleans it. Today it just stopped working completely. What a waste of $100!
Great RazorMay 26, 2010 MagicChristian(Gage, OK United States) I love this razor. Had tried an electric razor years ago (Norelco Triple Header)and it irrated my face horribly and my face never adjusted to it so I have been afraid to try another electric razor. After reading many reviews of many different razors I decided to try this one. I am so glad I did, because this razor is great. No adjustment time needed for me, the first time I used it I got a great shave with no discomfort all all. I highly recommend this razor.
Doesn't give close shaveApril 26, 2010 S. Singleton(Colorado) I had the ES 8023 prior to this and it was great. After several passes over all areas of my face this shaver does not get close. AFTER I shave with the 8043sc, I then go over it with my $20 Remington to finish the shave. Geez what is the story with this shaver? It does hold a charge for 2+ weeks, it does have a nice feel, and it doesn't pull or yank hairs due to high speed. BUT DOES NOT give a close shave. I have an average beard.
Great shaver, I enjoy shaving againApril 18, 2010 Michigan Family(Michigan, USA) I bought Panasonic because I wanted a solid name in shavers and so I focused on Braun and Panasonic as I believe neither sell a product that did not live up to their brand name. I focused on the brands I trusted most to still deliver good engineering, metal foils and electronics regardless where they were made (It's pretty hard to get a shaver made in Europe, USA or Japan). Happily it's as solid a product as I expected. For the past month shaving is fast and pain free again. I prefer to shave dry from past Braun experience and this is no problem with this Panasonic. If and when I wet shave I dont think you can beat a Gillette Mach 3 or better razor anyway and it's just as much work rinsing an electric shaver as a blade so to me I go with the blade when water is in the equation. It helps as people said to dedicate a a minute or more to running the shaver over the skin in different directions and pulling the looser neck skin a bit to engage the blades but the shave quality and speed are excellent.
Great head shaverApril 11, 2010 Joseph Swisher(EWA BEACH, HI, US) I bought this shaver to use on my head and not face. I prefer a regular blade for my face. This does an exceptional job on your head. It's just as close as a straight blade. I have had no issues with it and use it every other day with no problems. If you're looking for a close shave on your head, this is it!
